Thurston SixtH: BEYTON CAMPUS
Message from the Vice Principal & Head of Thurston Sixth: Paul Potter
A message to outgoing students
Huge congratulations to all of you for your work over the last two years. This summer's exam results were outstanding (top 10% nationally) once again. You should be very proud of your achievements - we are extremely proud of you.
I know some of you have already left for their new apprenticeships, university courses and some are soon to depart. Thurston Sixth wishes all of you all well in your new ventures and I ask that you keep in touch. As you know, the Old Thurstonians community is a strong one. Ex-students who come and talk to the current students about their work and achievements are always an inspiration and it's a very helpful way in which our current students can build up contacts in their chosen fields. So come back and see us some time soon - we'd love to see you.
Despite the challenges of recent months, we hope you will look back on your time at Thurston Sixth as fondly as we will remember you.
I am very pleased to say that despite all the challenges facing us all at present, it's been a wonderful start to the new term. With a spacious campus, a lot of organisation and great student and staff community spirit, we have been able to safely operate a full timetable of lessons so far this term. Our Year 12 students have settled extremely well and are enjoying the new and exciting challenges of their courses and of more independent study. Our Year 13 students are getting back into the swing of their courses. With applications and CVs to prepare, this is a busy time.
You can keep in touch with life at Thurston Sixth via our weekly bulletins.
